HSPN News originated as a side-project and small section of HSPN Networks (hspn.com), originally designed by RealityDesign. HSPN News was created to provide enthusiasts with daily-updated automotive aftermarket news. Within just months of its launch, HSPN News cought on with automotive enthusiasts and grew quickly. In fact, it became so large that it was one of the most visisted sections of the entire HSPN website. In May of 2007, it was time for an upgrade. HSPN Networks wanted to create a seperate, stand-alone website for HSPN News with a fully customized content management system (CMS) that would help their employees be more efficient and reduce the load on their servers. Using the extremely flexible RealityDesign CMS software, RealityDesign created a completely custom backend to meet their needs. HSPN now has the ability to post all of their news in a centralized location using one control panel and have it fed to tens (or hundreds) of sister sites, each displaying only the news their particular viewers are interested in.
